Opening a Legal Graffiti Walls in Saint John, NB

Opening a Legal Graffiti Walls in Saint John, NB
The Issue
Saint John, New Brunswick has a vibrant street art community. We have pieces from famous artists such as Uber5000 and Dodo Ose, as well as smaller artists. The entirety of uptown Saint Jhon is Coated with Beautiful murals.
sadly I have noticed these pieces shifting from the beautiful allys and buildings into Washrooms and Illegal spots. these artworks are normally more novice pieces or small tags, obviously from someone passionate about the art form but laking the portfolio to get permission from business owners or the city to work on a wall Legally. these artists are forced to work in these hidden or illegal spots due to the absence of legal areas.
I believe we can fix this by employing a method proven to work, a method employed in Toronto and Vancouver, employed all over the US, the UK, Germany and many other Countries - Legal graffiti walls. In Germany alone, there are 337 Legal walls (as of the time of writing. 3/8/20 1 am) however the entirety of Canada only has 30, 1 in the Maritimes, none in New Brunswick.
If we want to preserve this unique street art culture we must allow the new generation to Practice, train and develop a portfolio impressive enough to open opportunities such as the piece done by Uber5000. Otherwise, I fear that the new generation of artists will be one forced to crime or to move away from our beutiful city.
