Open the Rafah Border to Civilian Humanitarian Convoys Now

Open the Rafah Border to Civilian Humanitarian Convoys Now
The Issue
Every hour, children in Gaza are dying. Not from war wounds, but from hunger, thirst, and the complete collapse of medical care. Over 2 million people are trapped. Half of them are children. They have no army, no way out, and almost no access to food, clean water, or medicine.
The Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza is one of the last remaining lifelines. But instead of serving as a gateway for mercy, it remains closed. Aid is stuck just across the border. People are ready and willing to help, but are being blocked by political fear and silence.
We, the undersigned, are calling on the Egyptian government, the United Nations, and allied Western governments (especially the United States and the European Union) to open the Rafah border for safe humanitarian passage.
We are not asking for weapons.
We are not asking for governments to take sides.
We are asking for permission to save lives.
Let vetted international volunteers step in. Doctors, nurses, church groups, peace organizations, civilian medics, and everyday people are ready to bring urgently needed food, water, fuel, and medical supplies directly into Gaza.
Let people help people.
If Israel continues to bomb humanitarian convoys, the world deserves to see it.
If Egypt keeps the gate shut, the world deserves to know why.
We can no longer let anyone hide behind the phrase, “It’s complicated.”
It is not complicated.
It is starvation.
It is suffering.
It is the preventable death of children.
We are not asking to evacuate Palestinians. We are not asking to remove anyone from their land. We are simply asking to be allowed to go in, bring life-saving aid, and come back out. These are people, human beings , not statistics. No one should be starved for political leverage. In the United States, people go to jail for starving animals. And yet the world is watching millions of people suffer without food, water, or medicine.
This is not mercy. This is the bare minimum of human decency.
Egypt has the power to act.
Open Rafah.
Let us in.
What We’re Asking For:
• Open the Rafah border to international humanitarian volunteers
• Create a safe corridor for civilian aid convoys, supervised by the UN or Red Crescent
• Allow non-government organizations to deliver food, water, medicine, and shelter
• Demand protection for clearly marked humanitarian aid workers and convoys
