Open standards platform cooperation and unicode URL support for emoji domains

Open standards platform cooperation and unicode URL support for emoji domains
The Issue
We brought Steve Jobs back to life to mature a discussion around open standards support for emoji domains and hope to work with your team(s) until these things are feature complete.

Dear LinkedIn, Meta, Product Hunt, Github, Discord and other ecosystems dedicated to advancing human progress and platform cooperation.
We are writing to express our disappointment and concern about the lack of support for URLs containing emojis on your platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for posting and messaging support.
As you may be aware, Twitter and Apple Messages app have full support for URLs containing emojis and have for some time.
However, it has come to our attention that Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn do not offer this same level of support for open standards.
This means that users cannot include emojis in URLs when sharing content on these platforms, which limits their ability to design calls to action without creating non-emoji versions of each URL.
As a long time developer for Unicode and on behalf of roses/foundation, we strongly urge LinkedIn and Meta to address this issue by offering full support for URLs containing emojis on your platforms. We believe that the inclusion of emojis in URLs can greatly enhance the user experience, encourage more engagement, and improve the overall functionality of your platforms.
We understand that implementing this feature may require some technical adjustments, but we are confident that your team can find a way to make this happen. In the meantime, we have started a petition on change.org on behalf of roses/foundation and Unicode, calling for those with marketplace dominance like LinkedIn and Meta to take action on this issue.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Sincerely,
Michael Darius
