The Peter Tatchell Foundation launched the 'Apologise Now' campaign last year calling on all British police forces to apologise and say sorry for their role in over policing and under protecting LGBTQ+ people. Police forces right across the U.K. are apologising to the LGTBQ+ communities for their role in causing harm through historic disproportionate enforcement and under policing. Many police forces have admitted historically not following procedures and not investigating LGBTQ+ crimes properly. South Wales police are yet to apologise for their bias in their over and under policing and not properly investigating crimes towards victims who identified as LGBTQ+ in the Clydach Murders case. This is another reason why the unlawful P.I.I. ex parte need to be opened up to enforce fair justice for women, child abuse victims and those who identify as belonging to the LGBTQ+ community.
