Yes, with COVID times now we must continue our everyday lifestyles and continue to learn as we would regularly to help us keep our routines and keep our lives in line. But Many Students may be struggling to balance education and mental health as we all know we are experience hard times and students have had to adapt to a new routine. We understand we much learn and have education for bright futures but how will we obtain this when we deal with stresses and anxiety because our classes are moving too fast or we are just piled in work? We all understand that in order to meet Ontario‘s curriculum standards you must move at this pace but is it really affecting your students positivity both mentally and Academically?  Most students wake up and feel like their living the same life every day, morning class, lunch, afternoon class, homework, sleep, repeat. Others might not be able to take on many tasks at once or fast enough with others if the teachers aren’t communicating about how much work they are giving out to other teachers they might have. We are kids and we deserve to have time to ourselves and not have to think of an assignment every second or feel stressed and anxious that we have to develop and understand a whole math unit in a week. When we aren’t in class we are doing school work and it’s a never-ending cycle. We all know these mental health issues can lead to so much more and without stable mental health how can we even get a job in our futures? Something also that is incredibly shocking is that some school boards are still making students write EQAO or Literacy test. How is this fair to us students when already trying to learn at fast pasts and prepare for a more extensive test? School has already been stressful enough for us Students! We also know that teachers are trying their hardest to help us learn to our full potential but students wish that you allow less school work to be handed out or allow the system to teach their subjects slower by removing larger tests that could interfere with the amount of time they have. Please take these things into consideration as our student body is depending on a change!
