Appeal slap on the wrist sentence handed to Neil Punchard.

Appeal slap on the wrist sentence handed to Neil Punchard.
The issue
The suspended sentence handed to Neil Punchard on 14 October 2019 for the sharing of a domestic violence victim's personal details with her former husband was a significant and fundamental breach of trust. In addition, it is a complete failure by the Queensland Police Department. Police officers, can not be above the law and must be held to a higher standard. The 2 month sentence is completely inadequate and does not reflect community opinion. The suspension of this sentence makes it even more intolerable.
This petition calls for the Queensland State Government and the Director of Public Prosecutions in Queensland to appeal this sentencing decision and also to review how a decision such as this can be made.
