I am deeply concerned about the application for an alcohol license at the former Claypit Lane Fish Bar, which is being turned into a news agent. Traffic and parking in this area are already problematic, and adding another shop selling alcohol will only make things worse. More easily available alcohol means more people drinking on the streets, making it dangerous for everyone.

There are already eight shops within a ten-minute walk from here; adding another one offers no benefits to our community. We need to stay loyal and support our local shops that have been here for years, like Cox Shop—a family-run business working hard to stay open and help our community. Adding a fourth shop hinders their efforts.
