Recently, in a show of firmness, President Obama called for a freeze on Israeli settlements in the West Bank, and a two-state solution to this conflict.  Both Israel and Palestine must be recognized worldwide as legitimate and separate states, with mutual respect and security for everyone involved. After 8 years of passivity, progress toward a fair and final agreement can no longer be delayed.
