Nigeria nurses are been required to write IELTS academic to be able to migrate to United Kingdom in search of greener pastures. The set standard by Nursing and Midwifery Council UK, is high and need to be reduced, for it to be attainable. Some nurses have written this exam more than 5 times yet could not reach the set standard of NMC UK. This has caused psychological disturbance, depression, financial break down and emotional imbalance to Nigeria nurses. We are taught in English and we practice in English. We demand a slash in the pass level of IELTS
