Dope Fusion started this petition to Northern Beaches Council

We’ve recently been shut down from operating from 1 Meehan Rd Cromer. A location we were operating from due to council being unable to grant permission to operate from any of the 6 locations we originally requested during weekends, and unable to offer any alternatives. The only permit they were able to issue was for Mondays to Thursdays 9am to 6pm, which is not viable for a food service business.

We’re a small business who has been struggling and working hard to build a community and family around good, honest, homemade food. We’ve gotten to know other similar small businesses in the beaches and our struggle has not been unique.

We source everything from other small local businesses, namely: Plateau Fine Quality Meats Collaroy Plateau, Shell Station Cromer, Tien’s Bakery Dee Why, Hongfa Grocery Dee Why, Produce to Perfection Brookvale, Kent Paper and Manly Freezers Manly Vale. 100% of our packaging is recyclable, biodegradable and eco-friendly. We are generating business for other small businesses and trying to create a community in a sustainable and honest way.

Our request: That the Council consider our application to at the very least operate on weekends from Cromer Community Centre, Fridays to Sundays 9am – 6pm, which is an extension of our current permit to operate Monday to Thursdays. In addition, expedite defining the Council’s process to grant permission for mobile food service vendors so that myself and other local, struggling small businesses can operate in these uncertain times.
