Hi, my name is Nicolò Govoni and I am one of the founders of Still I Rise, an independent organization offering world-class education to the world’s forgotten children.

Recently, I was nominated for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. However, the Still I Rise team and I think that the world’s hospital staff deserves it more. They are the moral victors of the prize. It would be only fair for them to actually win it.

That's why we have decided to launch a petition addressed to the Norwegian Nobel Committee with the aim of nominating the hospital staff of the world for the Nobel Peace Prize this year.

COVID-19 has infected over 395,000 people and killed 17,000 since December 2019 as of March 24, 2020. The world is facing a terrible pandemic and the only ones left to protect us are the unsung heroes on the front line: the hospital staff.

Submissions for the Nobel Peace Prize ended on January 31. But today, by way of exception, we ask the Norwegian Nobel Committee to reopen nominations. Let’s nominate the hospital staff of the world for the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize.

Doctors, nurses, health workers, paramedics, technicians, researchers, janitors, receptionists, volunteers, pharmacists and family doctors are risking their lives for us everyday. They have to work in overcrowded ICUs, they have inadequate gear and protection, and sometimes they fall prey of the virus themselves.

Every signature and share matters. Let’s send a message of gratitude and appreciation to all those who are fighting to keep our loved ones alive, protect our children and preserve our society.
