We, the players and supporters of cue sport in South Africa, are standing together to fight against unfair player bans imposed by Black Ball South Africa (BSA).

On 24 January 2025, the South African Confederation of Cue Sport (SACCS) issued clear instructions:

“BSA is not permitted to impose any bans on athletes who wish to become members or participate in any cue sports events organized by SACCS or its affiliates. This ensures fair competition and open participation.”
Despite this, players are being banned from competition. This is a direct violation of SACCS’s conditions and threatens the rights of every player in our sport. If it can happen to one player, it can happen to all of us.

We demand:
The immediate lifting of all unfair bans.
Full compliance by BSA with SACCS’s membership conditions.
Fair and open participation for every pool player in South Africa.
This is bigger than one player — it’s about the future of pool in our country. Together, we can protect fairness, inclusivity, and the rights of athletes everywhere.
