We need to stop the use of IXL in schools because it is not helping our students learn. If they get one question wrong there score drops 10-15 points which can make one IXL lesson take hours upon hours to finish.

Also upon getting the question right the simple “Awesome!” or “Brilliant!” I feel isn’t enough satisfaction for our kids!

Another great alternative my kids use is Khan Academy. Not only is it free to use unlike IXL but there lessons are a lot quicker. While you still learn the same information. They also provide videos for your kids unlike IXL where they already assume your kids know the material. Essentially with IXL your kids aren’t learning anything new they just provide practice. But with Khan Academy your kids can learn new things and it can open up their minds.

Also Khan Academy provides help and hints for our kids which I think is helpful unlike with IXL where you either get the question right or wrong with no help.
