The Issue
Dear Nirmala ma’am, narendra Modi Sir, AWBI,
Your have a voice in policy of our Country. Here is my humble point of view to improve coexistence. Till now coexistence meant mere tolerance of animals with no financial incentive to embrace the mindset.
The opportunity to embedd financial levers to promote coexistence.
1. Adopters/ feeders get free / reduced parking in cities, with QR code ( lowest incentive)
2. Adopters get 1INR per sq ft or 2% reduction in RWA maintenance per month per animal adopted ( mid incentive) check/ governence to be designed with social security code
3. Society that adopt a 2 strays from ngo gain partial waiver on GST and 10% discount on building insurance over and above existing discounts. ( High level) governence: irda, gst body
5.Society gains Cost advantage to Cost of feeding, hire 2 staff to tend to strays in society. Costs waived from taxes and incidentals on submission of return/ statutory audit. ( No cost to society) - increase employment for unskilled workforce and promotes safe space for living for strays. ( High level)
6.creation of One medically equiped and dedicated closed space for 2-4 sick or injured animals per ward)-increased budget allocation by 5 % per ward per MLA.
7. Citizens incentive: drop a 3 kg bag of dog food in locality dog food dispenser, get a bottle of sena jal ( bottled water for 2 week on display of QR code from any location ( Citizen awareness)
8. Waiver on fuel/ charging cost by 1 INR per litre if you are an animal feeder. With a QR code used for community feeding by awbi
9. Optional and then Mandatory Volunteer at animal NGO for a week/ month as part of school projects and gain grade credits on report card for community behavior skills. ( Notional savings) promotes social cause awareness.
