Pedestrians are endangered when they are forced to walk in the plowed streets while their transportation path, the sidewalk, is left with mounds of snow and ice. Buffalo NY has had decades of citizen activism to improve the pedestrian experience in Buffalo. There have been hearings​, petitions, research reports, fact sheets, resolutions, media coverage, etc., about the need for sidewalk snow removal. It is time for the Buffalo Common Council to act and legislate sidewalk snow removal in the City of Buffalo.  We the undersigned petition the City of Buffalo Common Council and Mayor Brown to dedicate the appropriate resources to a sidewalk snow removal program. We ask that the Resolution put forth the Buffalo Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board be put into action.
