NATIONAL SHUTDOWN DATES: 13,14,15 May 2025
The Issue
Living in the shadow of numerous social challenges, South Africa is a nation striving for justice and equality. Issues such as the overwhelming impact of VAT on our social grant receivers, and the investments made by foreign investors that do little to benefit local communities, are daily realities. The scourge of modern slavery is present in our workforce, with people labouring tirelessly only to earn meager wages. Racism, unfortunately, remains deeply rooted as employers continue to treat Black employees unfairly, pushing them to work like donkeys unpaid overtimes and suffering late payments
Our labor market is further strained by employers who choose to exploit foreign nationals as a source of cheap labor, and who are even known to physically assault their employees. #LEGEND LOGISTICS a subsidiary of SUPER GROUP LTD. ( JSE listed) is a glaring example where this exploitation has been reportedly rampant. Civil servants, critical for the functioning of our country, remain underpaid and underappreciated. Privatisation of security services by the white minority to arm themselves against the black majority.
Meanwhile, our LAND it's resources and our economy are still in the hands of EuroAmerican settlers who stole the land in the blood battle from the rightful African owners who still suffers poverty and indignity to this day.
The Amakhosi Wendabuko, are still fighting for the return of our land. The biggest event this AFRICA 'S TRAVEL INDABA should be the business that highly benefits the LOCAL TAXI INDUSTRY but it does not. Taxi owners and drivers need sincere support.
In the backdrop of these pressing local issues, our soldiers face perilous conditions in DRC, further stretching their families' patience and the nation’s resources. Their safe return is paramount. It not only ensures their safety but allows our focus and support to be redirected to our challenges at home.
We urge the South African government to prioritise the safe and expedient return of our soldiers from the DRC. Let us honor them by ensuring their well-being and presence here, where they are needed the most. Stand with us in calling for their safe return.
Your call to ACTION Please Sign the petition and make your voice heard by supporting the NATIONAL SHUTDOWN in all key points of the country on the following dates 12,13,14,15 of May 2025
Yours sincerely
