As you probably recall, during his campaign, President Obama promised to be accountable, and to put an end to the secrecy and abuses of power that were rampant during the Bush administration.  Those promises have not been kept.  Secrecy continues, and cover ups are being perpetuated in the name of "looking ahead, not looking back."  Accountability is necessary for justice to prevail. Without it, the rule of law is meaningless and democracy becomes a sham.  Please, encourage President Obama and his administration to live up to his campaign promises.  Our government needs to eliminate needless secrecy, investigate wrongdoing, and institute accountability at all levels of government, now. The health of our democracy depends on it, for sure.
