This may not be a big deal to most, but I feel Charlamagne The God is a toxic personality and no longer deserves to be on air. After numerous transphobic, homophobic and misogynistic comments on air, it is clear he is not a person that should be representing MTV. I was especially upset that he was invited to Catfish not only once, but twice during and after making such comments. Nev and Max advocate professionalism, acceptance, understanding and respect. Charlamagne doesn't display any of these characteristics or values. He says ridiculous things on air, and is not at all enjoyable to watch. We need to hold a higher standard for "entertainers" on all television platforms and hold people accountable for their words and actions. MTV and Catfish should also issue an apology, as it is hypocritical to have Charlamagne on the show, after Catfish claims to be progressive and positive.
