My son is severely disabled. He Is 12 and cant walk and uses a wheelchair. Which means he can't join in any fun at local parks.

I live in South Tyneside and there are plenty parks around but none of them cater for disabled people . For example swings that can hold wheelchairs , outdoor sensory equipment, and also suitable changing facilities. 

It saddens me that because my son is a wheelchair user he has to miss out on all the fun . I know there are a lot of disabled children that would benefit from these new parks being made to cater for their needs as well as my son's. 

As a mother of a disabled child I feel strongly that something has to change and myself along with other mother's with disabled children should have places we can take our children that they will enjoy and benefit from .

I am hoping that with this petition I can reach the outcome of having disabled access parks and suitable changing facilities created .
