Assault style weapons such as the AR-15 have been used in mass shootings such as the Sandy Hook shooting, Pulse Nightclub shooting, Las Vegas shooting, and the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting.  People have the right to bear arms, to hunt, or to defend oneself, but these kinds of guns are not for protection or hunting, they are for killing.  If these guns become illegal then the US will be much safer and the children who have such a bright future in this country can go to school without fear of being killed.  This is the first step in a much larger change for not only Missouri, but for the United States of America.
