This petition is to limit the course load put on high school students at MSS. With COVID-19 and online school it is impossible to accomplish the tasks we normally would in a full time, in class setting. Students are getting stressed out by their grades (seniors especially) because we are applying to university and trying to start our lives with a C average. I personally was an A B student prior to Covid and now my grades have fallen to a C average with an F on my report card. How can you see that holding up in a university application? Not because i do not understand because i do, the courses are easy to gather and interpret however, with my job, my (limited) social life, and extra-curricular activities i would normally do and be able to balance it is impossible. The school district allows us to go in person once every week to ask questions and be physically in class. Those are the days where everything is easy, and fine. Whereas, every other day is fully online and the school system has not changed to amount of homework we get each week to accommodate the lack of class time. Sign this petition to show that we will not stand for our grades to fall when it isn’t our fault! Let us have our grades back!
