We are the candidates who have passed U.G.Part-III Examination,2020 under Annual Pattern.We are facing a very tragic situation in the case of admission to the P.G. courses in the universities and colleges.It is necessary to mention that the highest marks(in %) in the honours subjects obtained in the Part-III Examination of U.G. course of annual pattern is from 74% to 78%.Some of the candidates secure 60%(i.e. 1st class) or greater than 60% marks in the honours subjects and most of the candidates get from 50% to 60% marks in this Annual Pattern Examinations of U.G. courses.On the contrary,we observe that the U.G. candidates of CBCS pattern are carrying 70%-85% as common marks and their highest % of marks in the overall U.G. courses have become 90% to even 99.99% due to CBCS pattern of examination.

In such present situation,if seats are not reserved for the candidates of Annual Pattern U.G. exams for the admission to the P.G. courses in the year 2020,how can the successful candidates of Annual Pattern of U.G course compete with the semester candidates under CBCS pattern for P.G. admission??As in this year 2020,the Entrance Admission Tests for P.G. admission have not been conducted by most of the universities and colleges due to covid-19 pandemic situation,the merit lists for admission to P.G. courses are fully based on the % of marks in the honours subjects obtained by the candidates in the total 3 years of U.G. courses.

In some universities and colleges the merit lists for admission to the P.G. course have already been published.We,therefore pray to the kind honour of the Minister,Education Department,West Bengal to take necessary steps immediately to reserve seats in the P.G. courses for the candidates who have passed the U.G Part-III Examination under annual pattern and intend to take admission in different P.G. courses in this year 2020 and stop this unequal competition.
