There is a further development of the priest of Monte and the dogs situation. Father de Sousa says he has never owned any dogs and therefore these are not his. He claims that he knew of some local people abandoning their dogs to the streets earlier in the year and reported this to the authorities.

How strange is this, since many local people seem to know that he owned these dogs and has now left them on the streets to fend for themselves! But of course the priests never tell lies do they!

Another priest was moved to a different parish for doing the same thing some time before and also claims his innocence!
