We wish to have the freedom to be able to change your Xbox Live gamertag for free at any given time instead of paying the $9.99 payment. The current option to pay $9.99 is forced upon us as we have no other way to change our name. This makes us consumers feel stolen from because the purchase of the console itself should be enough money spent towards Microsoft. If we already payed for the console we are playing on and the monthly or yearly Xbox LIVE payment, we shouldn’t have to pay for our name. It is our accounts and we should have the freedom to control them without a cost. Many times players have wished to change their gamertag from years ago but the $9.99 payment is turn away. Personally I was constantly kicked from game lobbies because of a gamertag I made when I was 7 years old, I felt forced to pay almost $10 just to stop the annoying boots and kicks. To help other people feel more free and comfortable on their console, please scratch the $9.99 payment to change a players gamertag, thanks!
