University students face many challenges during this pandemic with some having limited face to face sessions and others having none for the academic year. Whilst people working from home are able to apply for tax relief including lecturers, it is not fair that students are not entitled to something similar. Especially when we are not receiving the same quality of context or delivery of the course. 

Whilst at home we’re constantly on zoom, going through recorded lectures and reading materials online which amounts to use of electricity, internet and heating more than what it would have been should be have been at home. Meanwhile university libraries are hardly being used nor can we access the facilities as and when needed. Not all students are entitled to student loans, resulting in extras costs of printing (much more costly than in university), books as we are unable to access libraries as often, and in our case (being network students) a click and collect service. We have already lost out on learning and not getting our moneys worth as many will agree. But I think we need some sort of small grant or reimbursement to help accommodate us with how we are required to work.
