Tell your officials that the testing mandates released in February may result in copays being higher for medical services than they will be for mental health services.  Surely the intention of the law was not to have a mother with a child with cancer pay higher copays than a mother of a child with attention deficit disorder?  The law was supposed to provide parity not create a different disparity.

The "same as any other illness" intention is not what the mandatory testing will create if not changed before July 1.

Ask your politician if the Federal Mental Health parity will create equal copays for medical and mental health care.  If he or she says "yes" ask them if they've read the February clarifications or any of the major benefit consultants analysis.
