Keep UK bank accounts open for British people living in the EU after January 1st 2021

The Issue

I heard that current and business bank accounts in the UK are likely to be closed after 1st January 2020 for any British citizen living outside the UK. This will cause a lot of problems for expats from Amsterdam to Andalusia. Keep them open!
