medical support to civilian war victims in Sudan, Yasir need your help

medical support to civilian war victims in Sudan, Yasir need your help
The Issue
Thank you for your kindness! https://gofund.me/fd3fac3ee
This issue is deeply personal to me because Yasir’s suffering is not just a story I heard—it is a reality that I connected with on a human level. Yasir was shot in the shoulder and chest for standing up for the Sudanese revolution. He survived, but he was left with a severe, comminuted shoulder fracture and multiple bullets lodged in his body, including one still in his retroperitoneal area. His injuries have taken away his ability to work, care for his family, and live a normal life.
I met Yasir purely by coincidence through social media. His story, his pain, and his resilience touched me deeply, and I promised myself I would do whatever I could to help him. His experience brought back painful memories of my cousin’s son, who was killed during the early days of the revolution in 2018 by a bullet to the head. That loss is something I carry with me, and seeing Yasir survive—yet continue to suffer—made this impossible for me to ignore.
Yasir represents thousands of civilians in Sudan who were injured simply for standing up for their rights. What makes this even more heartbreaking is that the world barely talks about Sudan, despite it being one of the worst humanitarian crises of our time. Many civilians are now fighting a second battle after the war: living with serious injuries, no access to proper medical care, no rehabilitation, and no global attention.
Our hope is that by sharing Yasir’s story, we can give him something that war tried to take away—hope. Hope to recover, to regain his strength, and to return to his role as a caring husband and father.
Our goals are clear:
First, to raise funds for the surgeries Yasir urgently needs.
Second, to support his rehabilitation so he can heal and rebuild his life.
This is more than helping one person. It is a test of our shared humanity and conscience. By standing with Yasir, we stand with countless others whose voices have been silenced. Together, through awareness, prayer, and support, we can remind the world that Sudan and its people are not forgotten.
