McDonalds in Bali: Stop using Plastic Bags

McDonalds in Bali: Stop using Plastic Bags
The issue
McDonalds is packing their products into paper bags and then putting the paper bags into plastic bags. This is not needed. They may as well use paper bags and only paper bags.
We all know plastic bags are bad for the environment and it takes a long time to degrade… Sometimes they may not even degrade. Researches say that plastic gradually just turn into smaller pieces of plastic, this is very bad because animals such as raccoons, mice and birds may ingest the plastic and get entangled in them.
A recent report from the United Nations Environmental Program estimates that approximately 95% of seabirds have plastic in their stomachs and sea turtles tend to mistake plastic bags for jelly fish. Plastic is also lightweight which means it is able to fly everywhere and get stuck on trees and it can land absolutely anywhere, it can also block a lot of things such as drains.
People try to find out different ways to “get rid” of plastic and one of them is burning plastic, which is actually bad because it releases toxins into the air and creates pollution. So bring your own bag, preferably canvas because it is the most common so McDonalds can serve you with ONLY paper bags and you wouldn’t have to use their plastic bags. McDonalds should also start producing paper bags with handles on them.
