Dear Governing Authorities, 

We are your everyday people who live and care for the city we live in. Unfortunately with the increased population in our area of Lake Shore and Park Lawn in Toronto, the litter of plastic and other garbage has created a very unpleasant and unsafe environment for humans and animals in the Humber Bay area. 

We are asking for your support in directing the city of Toronto to create a weekly clean up team of the shores and surrounding areas.  We have a group of volunteers that constantly try to clean up the area; however, this is simply not enough with the increase of population in the Humber Bay area. We are asking for the city to step in and provide us with a clean and safe environment by creating a 

1. Weekly clean up crew 

2. Enforce Littering By-Law

3. Create a by-law for surrounding businesses to sell goods in an environment friendly containers. (We see too many plastic containers, forks and spoons on the ground) 

Please adjust the By-law with higher fines for littering and appoint an enforcement structure that will make sure the by-law is followed. 

We trust that you care for the land and the environment of Mimico, and the Lake Shore area just as much as we do. 

We thank you for all the service and work you have already done for this community.

We are looking forward for your fast resolution of clean up of Humber Bay and the Lake Shore Areas.
