As it would seem that the primary (and lately only) function of our state legislature is to pass bans that the vast majority of residents don't want, like, or even need, it seems very appropriate that the shortened version of the states old motto "The Spirit of America" be replaced with "The Ban State". This is both because the current saying is potentially misleading and controversial, and because the proposed slogan much more accurately represents the states apparent goals.
