Manly Library has just been renovated. Sadly, they have removed the amazing Children's area (above) that has served families in our community for years! 

A small, dark corner at the very back of Manly Library is now home to the Children's Books. It is lacking in natural light, and there is no clearly defined area for children and young families to feel welcome. There is a small, windowless meeting room at the back of the ground floor that will be now used for Story Time Sessions (covid restrictions permitting, of course). Previously, we had the amazing, much larger, bright children's area with its mini amphitheatre that used to host these sessions. 

I am asking Manly Library to please reconsider the layout, ideally to move the Children's area back to it's original position. Or at least move it closer to the windows so there is some natural light in the Children's area.

I'd like to find 1000 people to support this petition so I can fully grab the attention of Manly Library and show them how much we care.

Please help me get their attention.

My kids are 4, 7 and 8 yrs old and have all benefited from Manly Library's amazing children's area. I want current and future parents and families to love it as much as we did.
