We pay our Rates, we abide by the law and do our best to contribute to our community but still have to deal with the daily emotional stress of having our homes and businesses broken into and the worry of being assaulted in public places. Our basic rights to safety and peace of mind are being ignored by our local Council and something needs to implemented to make out town safe again.

Whyalla has gone from a town of innocence to a town of hostility. Crime will continue to rise unless more action is taken to clean our town up.  Our children need to feel safe on our streets again without the need for constant adult supervision or the need to keep them locked indoors.  Authorities are so overworked that the response times are incredibly long and sometimes totally ignored.

If something isn't done now, locals will begin to leave our town to get away from the high crime rate, and tourists will stop visiting and enjoying our wonderful facilities.
