Stardew Valley is a video game that is known to be very popular within the queer community. Many of the influencers and people who made this game as popular as it is are queer. Yet, the game is very gendered. You must select male or female in the beginning of the game and cannot change this till many in game years later and still must pay to do so. The game includes a lot of unnecessary gendered dialogue like "hey you're that new farmer girl/boy, aren't  you?" and "hey, it's miss/mister (yn)!". These lines could easily be replaced with "hey you're the new farmer, aren't you?" and "hey, it's (yn)!" Or, if gendered options are wanted by some, then simply add this as a third option. There is already a PC mod that adds the neutral dialogue. It is a easy fix that should be added to every platform. The amount of queer people who use this game to cope and escape their daily struggles is insane. yet, whenever they go to play the game have to deal with being misgendered. If Krobus can be NB and you can marry people of the same gender, then you should be able to be NB. So please, help me make this happen.
