Make Roblox Safe The Right Way And Solve The Issues The Game Has
The Issue
Roblox is an Online Game Platform and Game Creation System Developed by Roblox Corporation that Allows Users to Program and Play Games Created by Themselves or Other Users. It was Created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel in 2004, and Released to the Public in 2006. As of February 2025, the Platform has Reported an Average of 85.3 Million Daily Active Users. According to the Company, their Monthly Playerbase includes Half of All American Children under the Age of 16.
The Platform Hosts Millions of User-Created Games (officially referred to as "Experiences"), all Created using a Dialect of the Programming Language Lua and the Platform's Game Engine, Roblox Studio. While Roblox is Free-to-Play, it Features in-game Purchases done through its Virtual Currency known as Robux, and Game Developers on the Platform are able to Create items that Cost Robux. Furthermore, the Platform hosts a large Virtual Economy centered around those items and Robux. Using the Platform's "Developer Exchange" Program, Creators on the Platform are able to Exchange their earned Robux for real-world Currency. The Platform has also been used to host Virtual Concerts and Events, as well as advergames.
Early in Roblox's History, it was Relatively small, both as a Platform and as a Company. In the second half of the 2010s, the Platform began to grow Rapidly, and this Growth was Accelerated by the COVID-19 Pandemic. By 2020, over 5,000 games on Roblox had been Played over a Million times, and over 20 had been played over one Billion times. Although Roblox has been Positively Received by Critics, it has faced heavy Criticism for its Content Moderation, which in turn has led to a large amount of Sexual or Politically Extremist Material on the Platform. It has also been Criticized for its Alleged Exploitative Practices Toward Children and Microtransactions. The Platform has been Restricted or Completely Blocked in several Countries, such as China, Turkey, Jordan, and others.
And Today Roblox has Major Problems such as UGC (User Generated Content) items that have Copyrighted/Trademarked Material in them on the Games Marketplace/Catalog which is Illegal and the Companies that own Intellectual Property Rights to those items can take Legal Action Against Roblox and the People who Break the Rules. And the Game also has Exploiters/Hackers and the Anti Cheat System known as Byfron isn't Effective Enough as it was Bypassed Weeks after it was Implemented and Added to Roblox and the Hackers can Bypass the Games Safechat Filtering System and say inappropriate stuff and the Report Feature can't Detect that because of the Hacks/Exploits and Roblox Moderation isn't Good Enough to deal with the issue. And also the Game has Issues with Pedophilia and Grooming as well as Online Dating and they Aren't Addressing that issue either and people like Ruben Sim, Schlep, RoCatchers, etc. are doing Roblox's Job/Work when it's Roblox's Issue and Their Problem to Deal with this and they aren't doing anything about it when Roblox is a Multi Billion Dollar Company and they can Clearly solve these Issues but they are being Cheap about it and Acting like the BP Managers that Caused the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill back in 2010.
Our Message is Clear David Baszucki. If you or your Staff at Roblox can't Fix their Game "THE CORRECT WAY" then Maybe you should just Cease Operations and Shut the Game Down because theres things that need to Happen on the Game and it needs to Happen now! Such as...
1. Make it to where Age Groups can only See Games, Profiles, Groups, Catalog Items, Models, etc. for their Age Group only!
For Example if Someone is in the 13+ Age Group then they would only see Games, Profiles, Groups, Catalog Items, Models, etc. Of Their Age Group only and wouldn't be able to view other Games, Profiles, Groups, Catalog Items, Models, etc. if they're not in that Age Group such as 17+ Stuff For Example they would be Hidden!
2. Increase Privacy Features!
Such as Hiding Your Friends List from Others, Make it where Blocked Users Can't View your Profile, Games, Groups, Be able to Join you in the Same Game Server (Instead it would make you Join/TP to Another Server and this is Already a Thing), Purchase UGC Items or Stuff you Made, See who you're Following (You would be Hidden from them Seeing ur Profile of the People they're Following or People that Follow Them, etc. And this is Another issue that needs Fixed because Blocking them Doesn't do much as they can still Find you as there are Loopholes and they can use Alt Accounts!
3. Increase Moderation and Rules!
Because People Break The Rules Regardless because The Roblox TOS(Terms Of Service)/Community Guidelines isn't Shown to them after Creating their Account and Roblox needs to add a way to make the Roblox TOS/Community Guidelines to be Read and Shown to them and Add 2 Option Buttons that will say (I Agree and Read The Terms) and (I Do Not Accept The Terms) and if they Chose the second option (I Do Not Accept The Terms) the Account won't be Created at all and it will just be Cancelled and they can use Alt Accounts to Ban Evade if they got Terminated and Banned!
4. Bring back The Guests!
Removing Guests from Roblox was a Dumb idea as most Users on Roblox are Too Young to have a Roblox Account and they shouldn't have one until they're in their Teenage years 13+ and Up and this is why theres a Pedophile issue on Roblox because they're Vunerable to being Groomed and Manipulated or even worse because Robloxs ID Verification isn't good enough and most of the Users on Roblox Lie About their Age and thats Illegal and Roblox is Criticized for this as they're Literally Exposing themselves to Adults and you never know if they're Pedophiles or not!
5. Scams and Malitious Content that has Potential Safety Risks!
Another big issue is this and has been an issue for a Decade that Scammers can Bait and Lure Users into stuff such as Games, Links, Items, etc. that can be used to Leak their Information and Gain Access to their Account and even Dox and Expose them and it could be a Threat to National Security!
6. Copyright Infringement and Intellectual Property Trademark Problems!
This is a Serious one as Copyright is no joke because There is UGC Items, Games, Models, Textures, Audio/Sound Effects, etc. that are on Roblox and Roblox Moderation isn't good enough to Deal with this! For Example there is Sonic The Hedgehog UGC items, Disney Items such as Mickey Mouse and so on, Minecraft Items, Anime Items, Movie Items like Lightsabers, etc. and all of these can have Trademarks for them and if the Copyright Holders see them they can Sue Roblox and the People that made them they can get into Serious Trouble and that would Result in a Huge Loss for Roblox's Economy Stock as they would have to Pay Fines for all of this and this could Shutter and Cripple Roblox and could Lead to them going Bankrupt for not Addressing the issues!
7. Add Better ID Verifications and a way to Detect if they're Lying about their Age!
This is also a Major Flaw as Users can Steal and Borrow their Parents or Legal Guardians ID to Verify their Age and Photoshop and Edit the Image of the ID so it looks Legit and this can lead to them Getting Exposed to Adults that could Possibly be Pedophiles even though not all of them are and Expose them selves to Adult Activities like Swearing and Profanity, Drinking, Gambling, Violence, Gore/Blood, ERPing (Erotic Roleplaying Aka Similating Sex like doing Backshots and Humping their Roblox Avatar in Game for Example), etc. and this needs to be Fixed!
8. Add a Proper Anti Cheat System that Detects Exploits/Hacks In Game
This is a Common Problem with Roblox because they where Cheap on getting Byfron as the System was Bypassed Weeks later after it was Added and People and Users can still Exploit and Hack in Games which is not Acceptable and the reason I say they're cheap with getting Byfron is because They did a Complete Ban on Cheat Engine in the Mid 2010s around 2014ish and if you try to use Cheat Engine to Hack and Exploit in Roblox it will Automatically Close the Game Window and no Hacking would Happen. And yet they can't do the same with Exploit/Hacking Executors such as Delta, JJSploit, Wave, Synapse, Xeno, etc. to Name a Few For Example and basically Add a System that Detects if Scripts are Injected into the Game Rather it be Client Sided or Server Sided!
