Officials of almost all cadres at Telangana State Medical Council, are taking advantage of Doctors & playing with their time & money by raising unnecessary queries during the process of registration for degree & additional qualification/applying for credit hours for CME programs, without having any transparency, in their own way, by finding some lame excuses & loopholes to trouble the doctors applying for registration of their degrees and other services supposed to be provided by Telangana State Medical Council.

The official website of Telangana State Medical Council never works properly & is of no use at all for any sort of queries or information.

The officials who are supposed to answer the queries on the provided telephone numbers would never take the calls and throw the blame on the continuous incoming calls. In fact, they won't answer any phone calls from any individuals. They keep the phone engaged purposefully. 

They are intentionally hiding information and facts from the individuals who seek for registration & delay the process of registration even if every document required is legally valid & submitted as per their requirements for verification. They will make us roam around the council for days together to issue the certificate, even if it is applied under tatkal scheme. Things won't move on expected timelines only if they are offered. Are there any ulterior motives or hidden agendas behind these purposeful delays in provision of services? 

Telangana State Medical Council should specify the number of incoming applications under various categories for certificates or other services like registration, CME Credit Hours, etc, and also should disclose the number of registrations sanctioned or approved upon application under right to information act. 

Whereas Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala & almost all other states have adopted for online registration of degrees for slot booking, Telangana State Medical Council is intentionally not taking any positive steps for making the process more transparent & less cumbersome as it prevents wastage of time & money. Whereas even the neighbouring Telugu Speaking State Medical Council, Andhra Pradesh Medical Council, makes the entire process hassle free, Are there any hidden & ulterior motives behind this apathy, nonchalance & lethargy on behalf of Telangana State Medical Council & Health Ministry of the state? 

Positive changes won't be possible unless the state government is continuously behind it and takes corrective measures on the entire system by maintaining transparency by inculcating accountability & responsibility to the work force. 

The health ministry of Telangana State should take drastic measures to Revamp TELANGANA STATE MEDICAL COUNCIL & MAKE THE PROCEDURE OF PAYMENTS & REGISTRATION ONLINE INCLUDING SLOT BOOKING, GOOD STANDING CERTIFICATE, ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATION, APPLYING FOR CREDIT HOURS FOR CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION, all other services provided by the Medical Council so that the entire procedure or process follows a smooth and transparent work flow without troubling the medical fraternity, all registrations would happen on time, more doctors would be readily available to serve the society and prevent the artificial scarcity of doctors being created by apathy & nonchalance of the officials at the medical councils and also to counter the fake registrations by unqualified individuals who may get things done by unfair means & unethical practices.

Telangana State Medical Council is collecting lots of money in the name of tatkal registrations and are not doing them on time and purposefully delaying the same. They are not providing any facilities for doctors who come there to at least get seated. When questionioned, they say that Telangana government is not allowing them to build pukka building in spite of having sufficient funds & space. This should be thoroughly enquired and corrective measures should promptly be taken. 

Everything should be made public & transparent regarding what is going inside the Telangana State Medical Council and it's functioning and whoever is found guilty should be reprimanded.

Entire Telangana State Medical Council, it's officials, administration should be revamped if necessary after a thorough enquiry on priority basis.

The state government of Telangana should take Tamil Nadu Medical Council and other transparently functioning State Medical Councils of India as an example and learn from them to uplift the quality medical care in Telangana
