Make Financial Domination Fraud a Recognized Crime in the USA and UK

The Issue

I am a victim of financial domination fraud, an experience that has left me feeling exploited and helpless. I had requested custom silicone rubber foot moldings from four individuals involved in this industry, but despite my ability to only afford the silicone rubber, they disregarded my inability to cover the return shipping costs for my own mold. This blatant disregard for my financial situation is not just unethical—it should be illegal.

Financial domination (Findom) is a fetish lifestyle where submissive individuals offer gifts and money to dominant partners without expecting anything in return. While this practice can be consensual and harmless when conducted ethically, it becomes problematic when it turns into manipulation or fraud.

There are no current laws specifically addressing Findom fraud in either the United States or United Kingdom. This lack of legislation leaves victims like myself unprotected against those who exploit our vulnerabilities for their gain.

The FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center reported over 467,000 complaints of internet crime in 2019 alone, with losses exceeding $3.5 billion (FBI IC3 Report). While these figures include various forms of online crime, they underscore the urgency needed to address all types of internet-based exploitation—including Findom fraud.

We urge lawmakers in both countries to recognize Findom fraud as a crime punishable by law. By doing so we can protect potential victims from falling prey to such manipulative practices while holding perpetrators accountable for their actions.

Please sign this petition if you believe that people should not be allowed to exploit others financially under any circumstances—especially under the guise of a fetish lifestyle.
