The parking situation at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) has become increasingly problematic for students and apprentices who rely on it daily. These unauthorized users often park their vehicles and commute to Dublin, leaving legitimate campus users in a bind.

The most effective solution to this issue is to designate DkIT parking as a private facility, reserved exclusively for students and verified personnel. By implementing a system of permits or access cards, DkIT can ensure that those who rightfully need these spaces are the ones using them. This would greatly reduce the congestion, making parking at DkIT a smoother and more efficient experience.
