We, the residents of Edmondson Park, have seen too many lives at risk at the intersection of Dalmatia Avenue & Bernera Road. Accidents happen constantly here.

Just today, we witnessed a mother in utter shock after being T-boned into a pole, and only two weeks ago we held the hand of an injured man whose leg was mangled on the side of the road after been thrown off his bike.

 These are not isolated incidents, but part of a troubling pattern that threatens our families, friends, and neighbours.

We are calling on the local government and Road Authorities to implement immediate safety measures at this intersection. We urge the installation of red light and speed cameras, and/or reduction in speed limits, and/or the addition of speed humps to slow down traffic and save lives.

With residential homes and walkways within direct proximity it’s only a matter of time before there is a deadly outcome unless something gets done.

Our community deserves safe streets, and we ask you to join us in demanding action before another tragedy occurs.
