Make change for students.

Make change for students.
The Issue
As a student with both physical and mental health conditions, I have directly experienced a lack of support from staff and teachers.
I am more than just an attendance mark. Throughout my education, I’ve witnessed how the system fails to accommodate students who are more creative than academically inclined. This neglect extends to my sister and other students with special needs and learning difficulties.
Our educational environment should be a place where every student can thrive, regardless of their personal challenges and abilities. It is disheartening to see creative and practical learners, students with disabilities, or those fighting mental health issues, not receiving the support they need to succeed. We need to foster an environment of inclusivity and understanding for those with health conditions.
In addition, healthier and tastier meals in schools and colleges are essential. Our nutrition directly impacts our ability to learn and focus. Moreover, access to clean and adequate bathroom facilities is a basic human right. The current state of our school and college bathrooms, often lacking cleanliness and enough stalls, further complicates our daily lives.
These issues are not just about comfort; they are about providing a supportive, nurturing environment that respects the rights and needs of every student. Enhancing educational support services and facilities can significantly impact students' ability to succeed and feel valued within the educational system.
I urge educational authorities to take immediate action. Increase resources for practical and creative learning, improve accessibility for disabled students, enhance support for those with mental health needs and special learning requirements, and prioritize healthy meal options and cleaner, more accessible bathroom facilities.
Join me in advocating for a comprehensive change in our educations approach to supporting diverse student needs. Sign this petition to help build a better, more inclusive educational environment for all students.
