Make BYD Electric Vehicles Legally Available in Canada

Make BYD Electric Vehicles Legally Available in Canada
The Issue
My name is a voice amid many Canadian citizens, who are affected by the trade decisions made by the United States. These choices, specifically the escalating tariffs, have begun to impinge on our right to accessible, affordable, and sustainable transportation options. As someone who is personally impacted by these decisions, I urge legal changes that allow the import and sale of BYD electric cars in Canada.
BYD Auto, a leading global vehicle manufacturer, is yet to be granted the permission it needs to enter the Canadian market due to the over influence of the lost relationship with the United states and their history of over stepping boundaries in the guise of global and national security. The availability of such energy-efficient and vastly sustainable EVs would significantly contribute to Canada's steps towards a green economy and distance ourselves with an unstable and in secure economy with the goal of global domination. The distancing of american influence will tie canada beyond physical borders to china and European Union partners strengthening
Allowing BYD vehicles in Canada would not only extend our options for electric vehicles and advance our sustainability agenda but would stimulate competition, potentially driving down prices for consumers. To add, BYD is already gaining global acceptance due to its innovative and eco-friendly technologies. In 2019 alone, the company sold over 145,000 EV units worldwide (Data Source: Statista).
Making BYD vehicles legally available in Canada would be consistent with our national objectives and values of promoting sustainability, consumer choice, and economic growth.
Therefore, we implore the support of each Canadian citizen and urge our government to take steps that would grant BYD the green light to sell their cars in Canada. This isn't just about adding another option to our choice of vehicles; it's about nurturing our future security and partnerships with other g7 nations that are committed to respecting our free trade agreements made in the past.
