Bryant Woods Pool currently serves the residents of Bryant Woods, in the village of Wilde Lake.  The COVID pandemic has kept this pool closed for 2 years, and the residents are SO happy to see it open for the 2022 Summer Season.  Unfortunately, the pool schedule is NOT family friendly.   As more and more families with school age children have moved into Bryant Woods, the pool schedule still reflects the schedule from previous years, when the population of Bryant Woods had fewer children.   The families of Bryant Woods would like the Columbia Association (CA) to change the Bryant Woods Pool schedule for the 2022 Summer Season to reflect the needs of the population who will use this pool the most - families!  

The current Bryant Woods Pool schedule, as pulled from the CA website, is Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri, 12:00-4:30 for families, 4:30-7:30 Adults Only.  Tuesday the pool is closed (as all CA pools have 1 closed day for cleaning and maintenance), Saturday is 12:00-8pm and Sunday is 12:00-7 pm.   While the weekends are wonderful, the weekday schedule is NOT family friendly and many in the community believe it is also not a good use of funds.  Many parents, who pay CA fees for the use of pools, work week days and may not be able to get their children to the pool until 4 pm (or later).  And even those parents and guardians who have time, feel the rush to pull their kids away from a fun, healthy activity.  As other parents have noted, the pool is almost empty from 4:30 on, as families are asked to leave, and staff have indicated only about 10-20 adults check in for the remaining 3 hours. 

We, the community of Bryant Woods, kindly ask CA to reevaluate the pool schedule for Bryant Woods Pool to include ALL community members for the duration of the pool hours.  The families of Bryant Woods would greatly appreciate the use of our community pool during the hot summer evenings.
