Maintain the Incarceration of Lyle and Erik Menendez

Maintain the Incarceration of Lyle and Erik Menendez
The Issue
In August 1989, Lyle and Erik Menendez committed a brutal crime, the murder of their parents, Jose and Mary Louise Menendez. Both brothers were sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. Their case shook America, illustrating the serious consequences of such violent actions. There have been discussions about their possible release, but it is important to remember the gravity of their crime and the legal judgment attached to it. In order to uphold justice and keep society safe, we need to insist on the continuation of their incarceration. Their crime resulted in the loss of two lives and caused tremendous pain to those who knew the victims. Releasing them could potentially endanger society and undermine the efficacy of our justice system. Please sign this petition to uphold justice and send a strong message that such abhorrent actions will not be tolerated.
This was a case of premeditation and was especially heinous, atrocious and cruel. This was a well-planned crime of two brothers murdering their parents without regard for human life let alone the two people who gave them life and all the many luxuries that were given to them by the victims "their parents" who were murdered brutally and savagely in cold blood. These two men Lyle and Erik Menendez do not deserve to be set free from their sentences which were imposed by a jury of their peers and the Judge and Justice System which found them guilty and gave their verdict and sentence. I do not believe they can be rehabilitated, nor do I believe they should be rewarded for the crimes they committed by letting these cold-blooded murderers go free in our society. If you let these two convicted murderers, go free then that sends a strong message that we are not safe within our own country and that our Justice System is severely flawed and that there is no Justice for victims within the United States.
Lyle and Erik Menendez took the lives of their parents in such a horrific and gruesome manor that they tried to make it look like a mob hit. These two convicted murders not only premeditated the murders they committed but led authorities and others into believing that they walked in their parents' home and found them savagely murdered all while claiming that the brothers were not home and staged a false alibi for themselves to conceal the heinous crimes in which they committed. They were tried not once but twice by three sets of juries of their peers and convicted and sentenced to Life Without Parole for the murders of their Parents' Jose and Mary Louise Menendez and those convictions need to stand and remain.
Lyle and Erik Menendez took away their parent's voices and rights to defend themselves by murdering and silencing them forever. Jose and Mary Louise Menendez never got the chance to have their voices heard nor the chance to live any kind of life. It was savagely taken away from them by their own sons Lyle and Erik. They were never given the opportunity to be heard or given any chance at life. They were not afforded the same opportunity that their sons were given, nor the chance to breathe air and live out their lives because Lyle and Erik Menendez made sure that they took those rights away from them forever.
Please sign this petition and also email California Gov. Gavin Newson to keep these two convicted murders incarcerated for the remainder of their natural lives as that is the sentences imposed upon their convictions.
Do not allow these convicted murders go free. This will be a great injustice to the victim's and their loved ones and also sets the stage for other convicted murders to think they can get away with murder and not receive or fulfill their entirety of their sentences. This will send the wrong message to people saying it is okay to commit these violent crimes as they will not receive harsh punishments.
