Having the legal drinking age be 21 is unnecessary and ineffective. Most underage people still drink regularly and illegally and by lowering the legal age to 18 we would be not only be lowering the crime rate for underage drinking but also be raising income in the alcohol industry. This could also be very effective in showing the responsibility of drinking at a younger age.
