The problem we present now is to solve the mass incarceration rates of Indigenous people across Canada. This is an issue that hasn't been solved by the Canadian government yet and doesn't look like there'll be a solution if it is left up to the Canadian government any longer. That is why it is now left to the people around our great nation to come together to persuade or to force the important federal, provincial, and municipal governments of Canada to finally make a change against an in-depth issue. How does mass incarceration affect poor communities you may ask? well, it contributes to poverty by creating employment barriers, makes access to public benefits difficult or damn near impossible, and disrupts communities where formerly incarcerated people reside. Like all issues, we need people's strength to push for the better and we find that strength in numbers. Let us come together as a Nation, as a Province, as a City, as a Local community to come up with a solution to beat this issue.
