Epilepsy is a misfire of neurons  in the brain where your body haa a seizure  or uncontrolled movements of the body. Epilepsy is a disease that is not a disablity that has been been cured. My petition is that we push for more research in medication and vns stimulators for epileptics. I will celebrate that even if they do not find a cure in my lifetime I will be happy knowing that I was apart of it.

Epilepsy can start at any age from juvenile epilepsy to adult onset. Seizures can be caused by a head trauma or it is a genetic disease. Epilepsy has many different types of seizures such as petit or partial seizures which are smaller seizures  . Another form which I face is tonic -clonic  or grand mal which are seizures that make your body convulse all the way to the ground.

My hope is one day there will be more medication and research related to Epilepsy as well as other brain disorders. Research can help in innovations for seizure medications as well as detection of  epilepsy more closely. Help others cope with the disease by having camps designed for children and adults that face the challenges each day. To know that someone does care about one day there will be a cure.
