Thank you to everyone continuing to support this movement and stand up for due process. Here’s what was shared at today’s graduate town hall:
⚖️ LEGAL ACTIONS UNDERWAY
✅ Federal lawsuit has been officially filed against the NY Department of Health and the Department of Education.
✅ A state-level lawsuit is also in process.
🧑🏽⚖️ The federal case includes a request for a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) to restore licensure rights while the case is pending.
⚖️ The TRO decision could arrive in 10–20 days depending on the court docket.
🧾 A press release about the lawsuit has been distributed to hospital partners and clinical affiliates.
🚫 DEBUNKING MISINFORMATION
1-JPU never claimed to be JRCERT accredited—that has always been clear.
2-JPU is still fully accredited by ACCSC, recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
3-Nothing has changed with JPU’s accreditation. What changed is DOH policy—without legal justification.
4-Rumors that “Isaac resigned” or “JPU lost accreditation” are 100% false.
5-Students should not panic over unconfirmed social media posts—stay connected to official university communications.
🧠 SUPPORT & COMMUNICATION
📧 A new dedicated email was created for student-specific questions.
-Staff will respond directly to individual concerns about licensing, legal questions, and clinical planning.
💼 BACKUP PLAN: FREE MRI PROGRAM OFFERED. I REPEAT FREE!!!!
-JPU is offering students (maybe just graduates) a FREE 7.5-week MRI training program through Advanced Imaging Review.
This path:
1-Does not require NY State licensure (since MRI doesn’t involve radiation)
2-Can lead to ARRT certification in MRI
3-Opens doors to jobs paying $50–$78/hr
4-Students can enroll in July, September, or later within a 12-month access window
5-Clinical sites will be assigned near your location
🌎 LICENSING OPTIONS OUTSIDE NY
-JPU and ARRT credentials are recognized in many other states, including Indiana and Connecticut.
-If NY rejects licensure, students can:
Apply in another state (e.g., Indiana in 48 hours)
Use that license as a basis for NY reciprocity
File a second NY application as an out-of-state graduate
🔎 IMPORTANT REMINDERS
1-NY DOH letters about revocation are vague and not signed by individuals—always document who you speak with if you call.
2-Students receiving letters have been advised by DOH reps to hold off returning licenses until further instruction.
3-If your license has already been revoked, JPU legal counsel will provide guidance and next steps in the next graduate town hall.
