We are the students and graduates of John Patrick University (JPU)—future healthcare workers who studied, sacrificed, and passed the ARRT, the national gold standard for radiologic technologists. We did everything right. But now, New York State is pulling the rug out from under us. The Department of Health is changing the rules mid-game, suddenly claiming our school’s accreditation doesn’t count—even though it always has. They’re blocking licenses, killing job offers, and wrecking futures over a made-up technicality.

 

 

If this doesn’t get reversed, it won’t just cost us careers. It’ll cost rent money. Medical insurance. Generational wealth. Some of us have kids. Some of us relocated to chase this dream. And now we’re watching it all burn—not because of anything we did wrong, but because New York’s DOH wants to flex power instead of serve the people.

 

 

 

 

What the law states

This is not a drill. This is happening right now. Every day, more students are caught in this mess. More licenses are delayed. More lives are put on hold. We demand immediate action. Reinstate our right to work. Stop the unfair targeting of JPU. Honor the credentialing path that’s been accepted for years—and let us do the jobs we trained for.
