On September 5th 2023, Channel 4 is scheduled to release a program regarding the Easter Sunday bombings. Given the history and background of Channel 4, as well as its previous actions.

It is a well-known fact that Channel 4's past actions have raised questions about their commitment to responsible journalism. 
Their program "Sri Lanka's Killing Fields: War Crimes Unpunished," broadcast on March 14, 2012, came under heavy criticism for allegedly spreading falsehoods and propagating the LTTE narrative without due diligence or ethical consideration. It was deemed by the Sri Lankan public as an example of "irresponsible journalism" or "propaganda masquerading as journalism."

Now, it appears that the target of their upcoming program is once again the integrity of our Sri Lankan military forces, and the target individuals.

We implore all citizens to approach this upcoming program with a discerning eye. Given the history and past actions of Channel 4, it is essential to seek the truth and not be misled by what may potentially be malicious propaganda.

Let us not forget that Sri Lanka, with unwavering resolve, defeated brutal terrorism. It is our collective duty to stand against all forms of terrorism. Our military forces played a pivotal role in this endeavor, and we will not allow paid foreign news agencies to sow confusion and spread stories they may not fully comprehend.

As a nation, we must stand united in the pursuit of truth and integrity, rejecting any attempt to tarnish the reputation of our military heroes for political gains.
