I was raped as a 14 year old in the UK. It is utterly shameful that this is still happening to children 65 years later with no significant repercussions for the perpetrators. Do better UK!

This case demonstrates to me that the UK is unsafe for women travelers. I’ll stick to places that treat rape as the crime that it is, and where the public is protected from violent offenders

I work with young survivors of sexual violence and see the pain that a lack of justice and accountability for perpetrators has on an already traumatised child. This sends a message to boys and men that they can do whatever they want to girls and women without consequence. It also sends a message to girls and women that there is no point looking for justice as we don’t matter. Also saying one male had ADHD and didn’t know what he was doing is offensive to all neurodivergent people and is complete nonsense. Absolutely disgusting.

Dr Aafia has been held in custody and has been tortured physically and mentally for so long not many people can endure this..it seems impossible that one female could endure such pain..as a muslim and as a female i can sense her pain and affliction ...but to feel her losses and to become a part of the struggle for her freefom you don't have to be a muslim or a female you just have to be a human who believes in fairness and justice for every human being
